Credit Crunch Hits NIRAH Project
August 12, 2008 – 6:45 amThe NIRAH Project is “hanging on by its fingernails” according to Mayor Frank Branston. The Mayor, who has always been a supporter of NIRAH, apparently made the comments in the latest issue of Bedford News, the Borough Council’s newsletter. He claims that the economic downturn is putting the project at risk of collapse. His comments are denied by NIRAH director Peter May who claims that the project is “still proceeding steadily and as planned”.
