SPEAK Demo and Stall Report - Saturday 13th September
September 15, 2008 – 7:01 am

This Saturday, one of the things that BAA members were involved in was an information stall against the new Oxford University animal lab.
A very visual demo was being held in Oxford to make the public aware of the new torture lab on South Parks Road. To highlight the demo, BAA and a few friends set up SPEAK stalls in the town centre. The stalls looked very impressive with a wide range of leaflets on them, but mainly about vivisection and non animal alternatives.
However, we had one lady come up to us who has become a bit of a regular, and she thanked us for being so persistent in our campaigns. She now only buys non animal tested products, and has become vegetarian after speaking to us. It’s always good to get positive feedback from the public.
It just reinforces the fact that information stalls are so important in exposing what institutions like Oxford University try and hide…we will be back!!
If you want to get involved in demos or information stalls please contact BAA.
